When We Are Closed
If you’re not feeling well, you can either contact NHS Medical Assistance on 111 or see your local pharmacist who can give you advice on minor health problems.
If you do need a doctor in an emergency when we are closed ring us on 020 7272 0111 and a recorded message will give you the numbers of the out-of-hours service where you can reach a Doctor or Nurse.
Your nearest walk in centre is:
34 Ritchie Street, Islington, London, Islington, N1 0DG
Open: 09:00 – 18:00
Your nearest Urgent Care Centre is:
The Whittington Hospital, Magdala Avenue, London, N19 5NF
Open: 08:00 – 22:00
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens
If you live in Islington you can now access more evening and weekend appointments with a GP or nurse thanks to three primary care ‘hubs’ as part of the borough’s i:HUB service: http://www.islingtongp.nhs.uk/ or i:HUB info
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
